Georgia has no state license specific to tree care companies (a 2025 bill, HB 882, proposed one under the Department of Agriculture), so you have to do the checking yourself. Ask for a certificate of liability insurance and proof of workers' compensation coverage, whether an ISA Certified Arborist will look at the tree, who will climb and rig it, and for a written quote that spells out which trees are coming down, how brush and wood are handled, and whether stump grinding is included.
