If a tree is on a house, a car or a power line, call. For planned removals, stumps and trimming, send a request and a local company will call you back.
Before you call
It helps to have:
- Your address, so the request goes to a company that works there
- What you need: a removal, storm cleanup, a dead or leaning tree, stump grinding or trimming
- About how big the tree is and what it's near: the house, a fence, wires or the street
- Whether a truck can reach it or it's behind a fence gate or across soft ground
- For storm damage, whether your insurance company is involved
Tree in a power line? Treat the line as live, stay well back and call your electric utility first. Georgia's High-Voltage Safety Act bars work that brings people or equipment within 10 feet of a high-voltage line until the utility has made it safe.
